Cookie Policy
Last Updated: October 18, 2026
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember things between page loads (that you are signed in, that a form was submitted by you and not by somebody else) and they let analytics tools recognise a returning visitor as the same visitor.
This policy explains which cookies this website uses and why. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly.
2. Cookies We Use
Strictly necessary
These make the site work. They cannot be switched off, and the site cannot function without them.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
ci_session |
Keeps you signed in and holds one-off messages between pages. Set only where a session is needed, such as the client portal or the admin area. | Session |
csrf_test_name |
Security token proving a form submission came from this site. Without it, forms could be submitted on your behalf by another site. | Session |
Analytics and advertising
These are set by third parties, and only when we have that service switched on. They tell us which pages are read and which campaigns bring enquiries.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* |
Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors and records which pages are visited, so we can see what people actually read. | Up to 2 years |
_fbp |
Meta (Facebook) | Measures whether an advert led to an enquiry, and supports advertising on Meta platforms. | Up to 3 months |
Third-party cookie names and lifetimes are set by those providers and can change without notice to us. Google's practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy; Meta's in the Meta Privacy Policy.
3. Campaign Tracking Without Cookies
When you arrive from an advertisement or a shared link, the address may carry campaign markers such as utm_source, utm_campaign or a click identifier. If you then submit a form, we store those markers against your enquiry so we know which campaign produced it.
This is recorded on our own systems rather than in a cookie in your browser, and it is tied to an enquiry you chose to send us. It is not used to follow you around other websites.
4. Controlling Cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Every major browser allows this:
- Chrome: Settings, Privacy and security, Third-party cookies
- Safari: Settings, Privacy
- Firefox: Settings, Privacy & Security
- Edge: Settings, Cookies and site permissions
Blocking the strictly necessary cookies will stop sign-in and form submission from working. Blocking analytics and advertising cookies has no effect on your use of the site.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google's browser add-on, and adjust advertising preferences in your Meta account settings.
5. Changes to This Policy
We will update this page if the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
